Injen CAI

Just had mine installed today and HOLY ****! It sounds SOOOOOO nice and mean! My gas mileage is reading in the mid to high 40's now on the highway as well. The throttle response has increased a LOT as well and she pulls quite a bit better.

It might be reading in the 40's but your not getting mid to high 40's man.

Well I was getting 40 before having it, my car read 40 and I did the math with gas used and miles I traveled with that tank and it came out right so I expect a small improvement anyways.

Just highway driving, it's not that hard and there's plenty of people on here that get slightly better then 40. Just don't drive 80 down the expressway and watch your accelerating.

Well what year are ya? Mine's an 08, 2.4L not supercharged or turbo'd. I still hover around mid 20's to low 30's city depending on traffic and luck with lights.

Well the engines do get slightly better gas mileage each year so I assume that would be the main reason but I don't know how you drive and I only get the 40mpg when I drive very conservative.

08's don't get 40+ mpg even on the highway.......that's ridiculous. The highest I've ever gotten was 36-37 mpg for a VERY short amount of time........are you sure you aren't going downhill when you take the readings?

Cool. I just bought K&N SRI for my 2.4. I haven't installed it yet, but I can't wait to hear it when I do.

I have a Injen CAI on my 07 2.4 and I like mine as well. Did you have any problems with rubbing?

What makes you think your calculator is right? 48 mpg is about 10 mpg over the rating for these cars.......which makes your claim very unbelievable.

I'm not sure but I think when he says calculator he means one you hold in your hand.

I get 31mpg with my Injen and other mods on my 07 2.0L traveling an average of 72mph on a trip I take home to visit the rents now and then.

yes i use a calculator and not the car's built in calculation. miles driven divided by gallons used.

reading>you

I said I made the calculations BEFORE the CAI not after, I have not gone through more then a gallon or two at most since I've had it put in yet therefore I can't get a good reading of my gas mileage yet, but before the Intake was put in the internal reading was almost dot on just about all of the time.
