A good break in period is about 500 miles, after that mod away!

just said it in one of the other posts too, but in case you didn't see, the engine is broken in from the factory... the clutch however (if you have a manual) is not... give it about 500 miles and you're all set

IMO they are a waste, unless your driving all year in rouch elements. but as long as you get a newer injen intake you should be set. i have an 06 and ordered mine off ebay also, called the next day to tell me its on national backorder for 3 months, then intake arrives 2 weeks later and fit perfact. thers not to many of the "bad" ones left out ther so you should be safe man. good luck, happy trails

I give my cars 1000 miles in factory stock trim... just to make sure everything is "ok" from the factory... after that... it's up to you...

i havent really got to look under the hood that much but where it the "filter" located is it below the headlight or what. i just dont want any water or ne thing to hit the filter cause i read on here about a case like that... that would totally suck

all depends on where your going to be at, the weather and what not, and i think it might restrict the flow a bit IMO, some one call bullshit if they know otherwise

Depends on the mod when your talking about breakin times....

An intake is not a massive alteration, your just freeing up the engine to breathe a little better. id say 500 miles would be PLENTY

if your talking about anything deeper than intake or exhaust, id personally consider running to your first oilchange, like 3k miles. just to let everything settle in and make sure that everything is working NOW, before you add other things that may cause problems.

if your worried about CEL's you could replace the filter with an AEM dryflow.

just about impossible to throw a code with the dryflows.
though most people dont have problems with the injen.
