Injen Probs Pt.2

so ive had the injen on for a while now and its running ok not bad enough to yank the hair i dont have from my head ...anwyays...as i first posted i had installed an injen intake and its was throwing my cel on all the time...so i changed the filter from the ractive that i had to a used injen cone that my buddy had...and all because i had some fitment issues with the original cone that came iwth the intake...it would rub up against the back of my bumper and if u looked at it you would notice how its in there tight agaisnt the bak of the front bumper....so i switched to my buddys ractive cone..and honestly it got better..but i styll have the engine light come on a few times...ill b driving and the damn light comes on then a day later or a few hgours later it goes off...or i get to the gas station with it on put in gas..turn the car bak on and its gone lol...geezz i have no idea what the problem is...and yes when the light is on the car does not drive properly i get bogging if i get sloppy on my driving or releasing the clutch and gassing it..i have no idea what the prob is..ive reset my battery a few times and nothing...anyone with this probelm???? could it be the cone??? shuld i put the original bak on and see wat happens for the third time? if someone can help me thx alot

ive got new pics of my car after a fun winter of modding it up the final results are pretty impressive well from wat ive heard so far..anwyays ill post pics u guys decide.....and thx by the way

did you put the air sensor in the correct way? that would caues the problems you are talking about. the hole on the sensor has to face the filter...the arrow on the sensor has to be pointing towards the supercharger.

just make sure the open part is facing the filter...it's just a small pinky size hole. hopefully it doesn't take too long.

have you been running it long this way?

that's crazy, i haven't had any problems with my injen and i installed it myself. if it isnt the direction of the air sensor then i'm not sure what it could be.

try another filter. You might be getting bad flow around the maf. The CEL will go on and off, because the flow problem is not constant. It will shut off after two or three cycles of running the engine if the problem is not there, thats why it'll go off at random. You are having some sort of airflow problem. Get a basic aftermarket filter and try that, or try the AEM dryflow that everyone seems to be having very good luck with.

cool thx alot...i tried getting som basic stuff and ended up getting a ractive filter..but thats wat threw off my cel constantly without it going off....then i put another injen filter that was smaller and didnt rub up agaisnt the back of my bumper like the original did....but it did make my cel go away with that injen filter..it styll comes on but at random it will stay off and for quite some time
