OK, probably been talked about over and over, but i cant seem to find anything when i search...im looking into getting a cobalt ss/sc and am wondering if anyone my age would like to tell me what their insurance is on the car.

i'm 20 no tickets(technically, lol), no accidents

 

Depends on what company you go through. I Would recommend just spending a morning or afternoon and just call around. Everybodies driving record is different and everybodies history with their broker/insurance company is different.

Insurance companies will often also take into consideration things like your credit score and where you live, ie. urban, suburban, rural, how far from the city you are, etc. And, if you're in school you can get a discount for decent grades. There are so many minute factors that can affect insurance premiums, that it really is best to just shop around.

 

i pay 1600 cnd taxe include. first car, no driver courses taken. 3 fines for speeding.

 

I have USAA 5 points on my liesense and Ive rolled a truck( by police report not my fault but the insurance company thinks differnt soo its gonig to court)

I pay 390 a month, and I have gone other places and asked for quotes but everywere I go just laughs and says they cant touch USAAs rates there soo good apparently, soo I cant imagine how high mine would be with anyone eles lol

i was paying about 4,000/year american with progressive... i switched to geico and now i'm paying 1800/year. that's one hell of a difference. AND i have better coverage now, and also rental reimbursement which i didn't have with progressive.

you can get online quotes from companies, i would try a few out and see what's best for you. every area is different, every driver is different, so we can't give any kind of #'s that would be near accurate. just have to research it WELL before you buy. take the time to really look around... you're gonna be pissed if you get a company and then find out you could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else.

I'm 25 with 2 pts. They don't count it towards insurance points.

It all depends on credit score, age, driving history, what type of vehicle/coverage etc

It varies between MANY people. you will not get a more honest answer.

 

I pay $1700 a year for my Cobalt SS SC, $600 a year for my Caprice Classic and $600 a year to insure the Sea-Doo.
The first two are through Saskatchewan Government Ins. so you're gonna be hard pressed to insure with them (being from Missouri) and the Sea-Doo is through the Cooperators. (also another Canadian based as far as i know)

 

i have a 2.2l coupe and i pay roughly 155 a month... and i have no tickets ish...

 

before i went back to my USAA coverage i was paying almost 500 a month with one fender bender and that was with Farm Beuro or whatever

 

1400$ a year for my 06 SS/SC. I'm 24 with no accidents or tickets that my insurence company knows about. I find that most of the local companies have better rates then the bigger companies. I got quotes from some of the bigs ones and they were nearly double and didn't have the quality of coverage I have now.

 

i was given a 215/mon. and im 18 no tickets no nothing for the 2.4 SS (2007)

 

i have my truck and streetbike on my own plan with country insurance, i just wasnt sure if that would be a factor, even though the bike insurance is only 500/year

 

If possible, I would suggest getting on your parents plan. In order to do so, you might have to add one of their names to your title. I'm 19 and I totaled my old car, totaled the car that hit me (I was at fault), failure to yield, and a wreckless driving(different charge). On my own plan, the average I was quoted by several companies was 500+ per month. Added to my dads insurance I am now paying a little over 250 per month. As young adults, insurance for any vehicle classified as a sports car is very costly (until we hit 25) reguardless of driving records.

If getting on your parents plan doesnt work, I would suggest obtaining a quote from geico. They seem to be the most reasonable for younger drivers w/ sports cars.

 

21 years old 2 speeding tickets (they are real old though) I have an SS / SC and I pay 128.00 a month!

Oh and I am on my parents insurance. I am listed as the primary driver of the vehical, but it is my parents insurance!

Wow. I feel great about my insurance now. I got a 06 SS/SC, I'm 23, perfect driving record(with the acception of like 9,000,000 non-moving violations, but those don't count) and I pay $108 with Nationwide. I'm on my own policy of course.
