Ion Redline Interior

Do the Ion Redlines have the center dash gauges? Or, are they front mounted like the Cobalt?

Every car mag I've read rips on the center console... I wonder why they don't change it.

i havent seen the redline interior. but the ones ive seen have a dome that does not appear to be the same molded piece. and they can be shifted. also, the backing to the gauges was closer on one side to the front than on the other, creating most of the angled effect.

It looked as if you could create a right handed effect simply by shifting the direction of the backing inside the compartment... i could be wrong.. I don't know everything. lol

You live in Spring Hill and have never seen the inside of an Ion before?

It's because it's something unusual. Also, I've driven a few cars with center mounted instruments, and you do get accustomed to it, so it isn't any more difficult in regular driving. Also, it makes the car feel more spacious because there isn't a big pod sticking up into your field of vision, you don't feel like you're driving.

I like having it in the center, my wifes echo has it there and I find it easy to see everything, I put my steering wheel at a certain position and it blocks out most of the gauges. Had I know the ions were in the center I might have considered them when I was looking for a new car.
