iPhone 4OS + USB = fail?

iPhone 4OS + USB = fail?

Ever since I updated my iPhone it won't connect to my car, it just says searching for USB. anyone else have this? I still have my old iPod touch so its not a huge deal but I still want to know whats goin on with my iPhone

just the software or the new iphone? the software worked fine with my 3gs. tryed unplugging from the radio and plugging back in?

its a 3GS with new software, I've tried unplugging it nothin seems to work

not sure never really had a problem. every now and then it doesnt work, i just unplug and plug back in and it works

I found on the apple support forums that almost any car that has a ipod connection via USB is having the same issue. Not just GM.

But they sugussted to turn the phone off. Then connect it to the radio and it power the phone back on by itself.
This way the radio will detect it as a new device and will then work.
I did that and at first it said that it coudn't find any music. So i just unplugged it and plugged it back in. Now it works perfect again.
