242hp and 242tq. Sean made more(244hp 224tq) but the TC hold that HP for much longer than the SC. Thats stock vs Stg 2 w/2.85' pulley, intake, and cat-back.

Well the big increase is the TQ and it makes more power through out the power band. The stg 2 cars have a spike at the end and thats were the HP increase come from. I will scan the sheets ant it has the 2 overlaid.

I raced Jarred again and pulled him through 2nd and 3rd until we shut down. When me and sean raced he was pulling me through 2nd and half way through 3rd then the car just woke up and took charge. I didn't walk all over him by any means, it was a close race. We shut down about 85 so I am not sure were we would have ended up if we kept going but we didn't won't push the limits of the law more than we already were. All races started at 40 and in 2nd gear, which is not a strong point in the power band for this car and gives the advantage to the SC. We will see what we will all do at the track on friday.

Yeah he got me in third by about half a car..pretty damn close I must say.
I figured Sean and You would be real close too.

EDIT:
My Mustang Makes more power, you cobalt **** think your cars can run 12's just because of a supercharger....

well after the cams it just doesnt pull the same anymore a car i beat in my mustang which should be slower beat my cobalt. the car i raced was an 06 with a 2.7 and 42s with injestor duty cycles at 140%. no balt running that lean should pull me that hard. and the gay thing is i put stck cams back in today and it still runs like utter crap and they didnt fix a damn thing. it felt stronger than before but still couldnt beat him.

I noticed something last nite and confirmed it on the drive to work this morning. I dunno if it's the pulley swap, or the hard driving after the dyno yesterday... but my car is running smoother than it ever has before.

Dead stop launch is smooth as silk and going through all the gears, there's just no hesitation or least bit of sputter. Maybe the pulley compensates for the rich GM tune, or maybe the thrashing took off any glaze I may have had on my clutch, but seriously, it's almost like a totally different car today.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the decrease in weight. Thats good to hear, have you installed your cooling mod yet?

hadn't had time, may try and get off work early one day to do it. I'd really like to get it installed b4 Friday.

EDIT: the cooling mod is done, no leaks....less than a quart of coolant came out at the start of the swap and a little over 3 quarts went in, so I at least doubled the capacity....pix are in the how-to

Looks great man! I don't know how more people don't do this as easy as it is. I think it will benefit even a stock car. Can't wait to check it out on Saturday.

When I got to work this morning I left the car running and went and checked under the hood. The SC was barely warm and the coolant in the tank was actually kinda cool. Shut it off and came back 15 imnutes later and the SC hadn't warmed up much at all, I could still hold my hand to it without it burning. I'm quite surprised at how well this is working, and I had to add a little more coolant, so I've put in just about a whole gallon minus the pint that came out when I started the intall. I'm going to say there's right at a full gallon of coolant in circulation now.

sweet. looks like i ran into some trouble with the install of my pulley...the hub is a SUPER-TIGHT fit. We didn't have a pulley installer so we did as much as we could until 1 a.m this morning. It's literaly an 1/8" off for the shaft being through the hub...so he found a power steering pulley puller to aid in that..pray and keep your fingers crossed for me guys!

Sounds good man, I think this will make a huge difference at the track this Friday. Do you know what time you are leaving to go out there? I might just meet up with you before you go and drive out there together since it is on my way.

Don't worry it will work out, and you will be putting down some good numbers in no time.
