does anyone have the problem that when you wash your cobalt and dry it, water seems to keep coming out in between the driver's side back fender and the back window. cuze it'll leek outta mine for hours after i wash and dry it. It pisses me off when it leaves water spots down the back fender.
the water is running from the seal groves in the roof down the side of the window. The parking on a hill trick will help speed the water coming out when drying. You could do a quick chamois and then a boot around the block and do your final drying. that seems to work for me!
I usually just drape a microfiber towel over that spot when I'm done and let it sit for a little while, then just dry it when I'm done, but I dont want to wait for that long for the seal to dry out in there.
After you wash it and get it ready to dry. Grab your air compressor and blow out the water in the crevices. ( if you wash your car at home ) I have to do this on all cars to prevent water in trapped areas from leaking out after you just spent 4 hours on it
I thought of the air compressor but it's on my list of "things to buy." water gets built up in the inserts at the bottom of the rear bumper too so that lip at the bottom always looks like ****. I always clean that part again after i drive it a bit.
I know it, I hate all those spots.

I use a leaf blower on that spot ,along with the mirrors, back bumper , marker lights, front grill and the door sills. I never get any water run off when i go for the first drive after a wash now, and use about half the amount of micro fiber towles per wash. It also works great on the tires, blow the water off and you can use the tire dressing right away.
