just ordered stage 2 and have questions

got the o6 ss/sc with no mods , car is 4 months old . just ordered stage 2 and was wondering what seems to be best for the air intake , short ram or cold air. also if i just leave the stock box out there would i be suffering bad. my chick drives it alot and i dont want any water sucked in from a deep puddle or something with CAI. also how much worse on the clutch and exhaust is stage 2 gonna be?

there are no short rams available for the 2.0L ss s/c. you want cold air so there is a colder intake charge which will reduce the change of detonation (knock) occurring. if it were a normally aspirated vehicle, this wouldn't matter as much.

you would have to completely submerge a CAI to get it to suck up any harmful amount of water, so unless you try fording the mississippi, you should be all set

the reason i was asking is this place up the street makes custom intakes and they said they could make a custom short ram for me all powder coated and shiny . i live in florida and the roads can get some water on them .
