I only had time to take a few pictures, but here is my favorite;

Within the next few weeks, we should have a gallery full of pictures including some of the engine.....I can't believe I forgot to take at least one of that

Glad to see your making the rounds....

I can get serious discounts on GM products through my stepfather and my company JB Hunt, so I could get an Cobalt LS fairly cheap. It just wouldn't much of a street car because all the Phase 5 mods in California would render it a track only car anyway.

Which I guess would be fine.

You guys keep up the good work and good luck this season, I hope you can get out to the west coast at least once. Maybe you'll be at SEMA??

We were very happy to win that first race. Even though she lost the second round, it was to a good friend of ours and was a great race. Both of them had IDENTICAL reaction times and the other girl was .03 off of her dial. Brittany's reaction times were extremely consistent this weekend, so we are going to make some changes to the car to hopefully get it moving a bit sooner; we have very high expectations for the Virginia race in two weeks.

You do not have to do a complete Phase 5 build-up; you can still make a very quick car and remain even CA legal.

We would love to come to the West again to race, but it is over 40 hours driving each way, and with diesel the way it is, we are talking about close to a $2500 trip, so the odds are very slim. However, we will be in Vegas this weekend at the Powerade event, and of course we will be at SEMA; who would pass up a reason to go to Vegas?

At 10 pounds of boost, I ran a 12.94 letting off on the top end; 60's were in the high 1.7's. Both of these times will be coming down after the next round of tuning which will be next Friday once we raise the boost.

Stay tuned!

What's all been done to the body to prep? Suspension? Weight redux? Then engine mods? 10lbs of boost is kinda vague, tell us the dirty dirt girl

GM Performance Parts camshaft set (#88958648)
GM Performance Parts neutral balance shaft set (#88958615)
Wiseco piston, pin, and ring Set
Eagle connecting rods
GM Racing modified Hydra-Matic 4T65-E 4-speed automatic transmission

Airlift rear suspension airbags for ride height adjustment
Recaro racing seats with Schroth six-point safety belts
6-point safety cage
Onboard fire extinguisher system

Of course my car has a few different things since it was the second 'Phase 5' built and changes were made for the better. My car has not been dyno'd yet, so we won't know how much horsepower and torque my car has until the 22 of April. As you can see above the car weighs 2725 and 2850 with me in it. As far as weight reductions go nothing crazy has been done due to the class I run. We used the LS model so that some of the heavy components, such as the power windows, were not in it. That is all I can think of right now. If you have any specific questions about anything, please feel free to ask. As Jeramy said in a previous post, we will be posting pictures of the engine bay and the interior soon, so you can see exactly what was done to the car.

The GM Racing build book is going to be available soon and it will have step by step instructions on how to build the car. Once that is available we are going to try and put together a total of how much it would cost to build my exact car. Until then the total is unknown.

haha.....while our car is over the top, you could build a car that was very quick for a very reasonable price. The whole point of this program is to meet that goal and have the reliability (if built properly) of a stock car. Coming from the Honda world, I can say that even this car is more streetable than cars much slower that I have driven daily.

The build book should be available this weekend at SEMA IAS. We also have another sheet I will be publishing on our website soon and it will outline the exact cost and much more. If you are coming to IAS in Atlantic City this weekend, check the schedule and come by and meet Brittany in the GM booth.

Brittany has won the last two races we have went to, and we are going to tune the car before the next one, so it should pick up just a little bit. Here is an updated picture;
