Does not work for our cars, we have reverse lock out. And yeah if you don't know what gear your in you got probs. How will knowing what gear your in save you gas. I know plenty of other things I can spend my money on.

^ Yea exactly. Its kind of a cool concept but thats alot of cash. I also don't see how it can save 15% gas. *shrug* Maybe I'm missing something.

Now how in the hell could it "help fuel consumption by 15 percent"???? It's an interesting idea, but I would never spend a lot on it!

seems like a cool idea. but design wise its pointless. who looks down at their shifter while they are shifting? your hand is always on the shifter, its the feel of the position of the shifter that is importaint. In order for a light indicator to work it would have to be mounted in the instument panel where your eyes could safely glance.

I think it has some cool factor.. but I usualy leave my had on the shifter when I drive so I'd never see it anyway

It says on the page "Does not work with cars that have gear levers with reverse gear locking mechanism." so that pretty much cuts out our cars.

Only the SS S/C cant use that. It also is very pointless the only time my hand isnt over the shifter is in 5th on the highway
