l.e.d. 3rd brakelight question

I have the l.e.d. strip from modern performance for my 3rd brakelight and I noticed yesterday that it is rattling around in the brakelight casing.

So what my question is, Has anyone came up with a way to hold the strip in place? If anyone has any ideas to help me out they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Use an epoxy of some sort, Maybe Gorilla Glue, or JB weld (used mainly for metal bonding but holds a like a ***** to a pimp)

I didn't do the led strip from Modern Performance, but instead the one from an 03-ish Impala (because it is brighter). I figure since they are both light boards I'd post up. I used a strip of 3M double-sided tape. I've run it this way for 2/12 years and have had no problems. Just secured it right to the OE reflective housing for the Cobalt. You can find such tape in the automotive section of Walmart.

You could use Hot Glue then, epoxy should be fine, make sure you don't short it.

I'd be weary of hot glue getting too soft and not holding up well in the summer months... I mounted mine (also from an Impala) with the double sided foam tape and it's held on for ages.

True, why epoxy was my first suggestion.

i actually took the metal wire from a long twist tie and (after putting the led board double sided taped to the two parts in the housing) I wrapped it around the very middle of the board and then I fed it through the middle hole for the original bulb and wrapped the other end around the back of the light (black piece) I cut any excess off with a wire cutter. I made it very tight so even if the tape falls off again that wire should hold it damn near close to perfect. You also can not tell that it is there from the outside.
