Is this leather good?

trade offs. I've sat in both. Your preference I guess.
I was actually impressed with the leather quality in the SS given the price of the car. The reason that the leather on the seat cushion and back stretches is due to the fact that it is perforated. My cousins Benz does this also. All you have to do it keep it clean and conditioned. DONT use cheap conditioners that you find at walmart or Cdn tire. Use good quality, MATTE finish leather conditioners. The SONUS brand from autopia works awsome and will keep your vynil and leather "fresh". You dont have to soak the leather with conditioner either. Just vaccum the seats with a soft brush attachment, then, wipe the leather down with a wet cloth to remove dust and dirt and dry with a clean towel. Spray the conditioner onto an applicator (Foam pad, cotton terry cloth, or mirofiber towel) and wipe evenly over the leather. Let it dry and it should have a clean matte look and will stay in "like new" condition for as long as you care for it. Do this weekly / twice a month, and you should have no trouble with your seats.

The recaro's are made of two different materials and therefore do not stretch like the soft leather in our seats. Your seats will get swirls where you ass goes we all have that problem. This comes from two things... if you have ever watched a leather seat being made it is actually an involved process... first leather grade.... the stiffer the leather the more it cracks the softer the leather the more it wrinkles .... Chevy went with soft leather which feels great but if not applied correctly turns out like our seats.... then the fill .... these seats are not filled as much as they should be... now the leather when applying the leather you are supposed to cut a little less then what is actually need then you take a heat gun and heat the leather and stretch it over the fill.... then you take it off and re heat it one more time stretch over fill and sew.. Something tells me our leather was cut and just sewn on no heating and stretching went on other wise there would not be enough leather to bunch up
