Here is a pic of it from the underside installed before paint. Had I cut off any more of the bracing, the hood would be really flemsy. That is the only reason why I didn't go bigger. It would have been so flemsy that just having someon lean on it would have buckled the hood severely.

dito. Needs to be bigger, Matte black would be a nice offset. Other than that great job.

I think it may not look bad with a set of black SS stripes from the start of the hood, around the scoop (leave scoop red) and continued to the back of the car.

Other then the fact that I think it should be about 5 times bigger it looks fine.

But then it doesn't matter what I think, its your car.

Kudos for all the work you put into and and I like that fact that it's really functional. Overall, I like it (but that's it). I think it would be awesome if it were a little bigger. It would look more muscular that way. I still voted "like it" though. Awesome job and kudos again for taking the risk and doing a good job on it.

I don't see that at all, the craftsmanship is excellent IMO , and i bet it took alot of time to mold it into the hood so seamlessly . While it's not my style i can appreciate the long hours put into it .

Looks like you did a great job. It looks like the bump on the old tallons to clear the vc. It would be neat if you opened the hood to find a intercooler pipe for the turbo sitting there.

That will never happen.

Thank you. It took me about 14 hours of actual labor to get it right.

that's a pretty tiny heat extractor...and i don't know how much design time you put into that, but just a hole isn't a heat extractor. It's quite a bit more complicated then that.

I manage a collision center so I do know what I am doing. I couldn't go with a bigger scoop becuase the structural integrity of the hood would have been severely comprimised. Someone leaning on it would have made it cave in. The area and direction that I chose to face it was chosen because I get absolutely no water or debris entering into the engine bay. Furthermore, the faster I drive, the more air that is being pulled from the hole in the opening.

Prior to installing this, my coolant temps at idle with the ac off would hit 225 regularly causing my fan to kick on. Now under the same conditions, air temps, and humidity, my coolant temps never go above 200. While driving, my coolant temps never go above 174 degrees. So it has actually performed far better than I ever expected. I never intended to gain anything out of it originally. I just didn't for looks. The performance aspect of it has been purely accidental, but greatly appreciated.
