Haven’t measured it yet and the crank does look like that. It’s clean though.

And we did it in my bedroom. After we are done with the bottom end we are bringing it to the shop to put the head on.

The pistons must just be sitting in there without rings.... since one is backwards.
What did you decide on for ring end gap?

They aren’t backwards. They have a letter F on them for front and they all all facing the front. And those are installed. It’s not top dead center though. And went with what John said. .020 top .025 second and .015 for the oil rings

But no big deal because we had to order one more set of rings because one got bent so we are waiting on that

You can't check piston to wall clearance with rings on...

Well we didn’t really plan on checking. But might as well take them out and check. It didn’t take long to put them on

What's John recommend for the boost your running? .004" is a minimum NA spec. Street / Strip applications up to 15psi of boost usually gets another .001" to .003" .001" to .002" for boosted drag racing depending on piston alloy.

Do you know if your Diamonds are 2618 or 4032?

Those are the specs he gave me. And diamond also recommends that. They are closer to .0048

Do you have any plans for manually shifting it? Maybe a nice B&M shifter?

Ya and then the line lock and wot box. And messing with the shift pressure. Took a while to adjust the shifting with the shorter drag radials.

Nice build so far. Glad to see the damage from the hurricane wasn't too bad.

Just allows me to press the gas all the way to the floor and it will hold atthe highest rpm the car will go. Since I have a 3k stall the rpms will hold around there. Then the line lock comes in with it so I just release a button and the car launches since my foot is already all the way to the floor.

I'm not familiar with these setups so forgive me if I am missing something but am having trouble figuring out what your WOT box would actually do. Your torque converter will not allow the RPMs to go above 3k given that the engine generates enough torque to get up to 3k. Your engine is putting out all she'll suffer while your brakes or line lock holds the car in place which will preload the transmission. Your torque converter is what holds your RPMS. I always thought you held it at wide open throttle against the torque converter to load up as much as possible but that is just an assumption so I could easily be mistaken. But if that is the case what does your WOT box do? Does it limit the engine torque or preload on the transmission?
