Hey guys, i still plan on picking up a 2005-2007 SS in a few weeks but i wanted to ask how do you tell if the model has LSD or not?? I read someone said to check in the trunk? Also how necessary is it in this car?(I plan on driving in winter) Thanks

 

In the trunk on the build tag look for G85, or on the top of the trans look for a tag that says 4.05 LSD.

Don't listen to the kiddies that tell you burn out and if you have two tire tracks you have an LSD. An open diff will spin both tires in a straight line to.

LSD helps for coming out of turns.

 

This. If you want to find out spin one axle and let the other free wheel, if both spin LSD, if only the one you're moving spins you have an open diff.

 

Does only the 2007 SS/SC have the LSD option?? Or do any 2006/2006's??

 

All 2005-2007 SS/SC's had G85 as an option.

2005-2006 G85's all came with Recaro seats.

2007 G85's came with Recaro's during early build dates. Later build dates had standard heated leather seats.
