Limited Slip Differential

Does anyone think the Performance Package with the Recaro seats and the limited slip differential is worth paying the extra money for when buying a new ss/sc, does the limited slip differential actually increase the performance by a noticable amount? Let me know what you guys think because I'm planning on purchasing a new cobalt ss/sc and want to know whether or not I should get this option. It costs about $2200CAN at the dealerships.

You already posted this question, and I already answered it...

Good luck on the car, though.

I absolutely think the G85 package is worth it. The seats are simply awesome, and the LSD is going to help whenever you turn in a spirited fashion.

For more opinions on the G85 package, see this recent thread:

I haven't ever driven an SS without the LSD, so I couldn't really tell you it it's a noticable difference. I will vouch for the seats though, they are extremely comfortable. (Providing you can fit in them)

I think it's worth it, but then again I paid the normal price for a Cobalt SS for my G85.

I wouldn't have bought the car without it. It is like the best option ever on any car. The LSD is necessary if your car will ever see track duty (not to mention it works great at saving your Pirelli rubber around corners). The Recaro seast are super supportive and very comfortable. It is the only option that you NEED on this car.

Hey everyone, well thanks to all of you I think its pretty obviously that the G85 package is 100% necessary to get, I was already thinking of getting it, but I just want to be sure that it was worth it, and apparently it is well worth the money. So my decisions made, I'm getting it. WICKED! If anyone still has any info that they would like to share I will still gladly appreciate it.
