Limited Slip, does it make all the difference?

I've been looking at a car finder on Chevrolet.com and Very few of the SS's have the limited slip.

And the ones that do I don't like the exterior color (Sport Red.) ( I really want the Sunburst Orange, Laser Blue, or Even Black or Victory Red.)

I know the sunburst is "Discontinued" but our salesman we always buy from assured me he could still get me a fully loaded sunburst orange one. *shrug* which is really what I want.

Is it really worth it to go for the limited slip??

Thanks for any help.

I love autocrossing and road racing... therefore.. yes .. it does make all the difference.

If you just plan on some occasional drag racing, you wont be any faster.. (unless one wheel spins)

And if you ever plan on doing any type of autox.. DEFINATELY get the limted slip.. it'll cost way more to put it in later

Only makes a difference when turning, but the difference is huge. I love being able to take corners under power. Whenever I drive a non-LSD cobalt i do bad one-tire burnouts when turning.

Thats what I want. I'm not one to spend all the time on the track, though I do like to do the occasional red light to red light when called upon

Its going to be my daily driver, and I like to drive cars like they were meant to be drove, hard and fast.

Thats the main thing I love about the Vette's its not the insane power, the fun comes from taking that curving interstate ramp at 70 when the limit on it is 35.

So I guess I will be opting for the limited slip if it enhances turning power.

Fully optioned (stock) cars are easier to sell and command higher prices down the road.
