Link end size issue.

Hi guys , sorry I know this is talked about to death but I am just looking for a straight answer.
I have a 2006 2.4 l SS cobalt, stock. I am changing link ends ( finally) I have had one link end on hand for a while but it is the 11" size, I seem to get a lot of 9.86 is the right size so I am confused, I know you can go either way as long as they match but what is the STOCK size on there now so I can buy the other to match or 2 new ones. Thanks so much.

The base model uses the 11" size. Use the FE5 style, which is the 9.86" which is stronger. Did this job last month.

Thanks! were they hard to get off , I see you are from up north as well...did you use an impact wrench? I am fe3 so my 11" should do then.

Lots of *********** fluid, and a lot of muscle. Couldn't get the impact gun in there since I only had jackstands. Get the car as high as you can (safely) will give you better leverage on that bottom bolt.
I changed out my entire suspension while I was doing the job.
