You gotta love the fact that when you use the nitrous, you void the warranty!

 

I got nothin to say about that monsrtosity!! i'm at a loss of words... soo i'm goin to keep my mouth shut and watch tv!

 

$25,999 car meant for track use:

That's about a waste of 26 grand...

 

Thats pretty dumb. I read about that in Focus Fanatic Magazine last year.

i thought nitrous was illegal...how the hell do they sell somthing like that stock?

 

Nitrous is NOT illegal, Or they couldn't sell it. But then, It's not "Stock" Now is it?

 

All you have to do is fill the bittle hook up the hoses' and run the electrical wireing. Thats it, that all. All they really have done is provide a switch and a bottle. Its only truly 150hp no need to worry with the SS/SC maybe no even a base cobalt.

 

It's a huge disappointment coming from Saleen. It's the equivalent to a Ligenfelter Cobalt with 145hp!!

There are two Saleen Foci at the ford dealership nearby. They do have a nice body kit, dual center-exiting exhaust, and the interior is badass. But the pathetic rear drum brakes, and 150hp is really sad. Now if this car was turbo, then it would be kick ass. the funny thing was that the dealership marked then up to $33,000 bucks!!!

 

any way i woulnt touch that car with a 100 foot pole...itll probably get recalled like every other ford focus

 

$33,000!?!?!?! WTF! Thats ridiculous! Why doesn't someone sue the Dealer for price gouging?

people think the cobalt ss looks ricey with the big wing and kit, look at that monstrosity, and u cant even use the nitrous if u want to maintain your warrenty, talk about a waste of car

 

it won't really be a bad looking car if it has a nicely built F/I motor (maybe an SVT Focus motor with a turbo), the body looks solid, ditch the bottle (not really necessary anyways) and remove the n2o badges.

 

I saw one at the dealership by my house and it almost made me hit a light pole. My jaw droped and then all the sudden i started yelling out profanitys at the dealership for some reason. well needless to say the thing is a very large let down from saleen

 

ummmmm we are all dumber for haveing veiwed that. what kind of tard is going to buy that??? oh man, and how do they know it has such a great resale value??? better then the copper s? c'mon now. i dont know about any of you but i am going to pay much less or not even want to buy a used car that has used nitro. stupid ford

The supercharger is always ready and needs no filling.
I would have expected something a little more stylish and technical from Saleen.
I dont really like it to be honest. I dont want to always have to rely on NoS for my torque.
Where's the turbo?

 

I figured they would have turbo'd it or blown it like they do with the mustangs. Oh well I guess they are just trying to satisfy the "fast and the furious" crowd.

 

that would have been the better way to go, instead of just having it being good enough.

 

A friend of mine had a Saleen Focus a couple years ago actually, he kept on blowing the engine and the car was really expensive to maintain. I not sure if he still has it anymore. He baught it from Saleen a couple of years ago and it was one of the first ones ever made, had a low number.

BTW, Speed Mag tested this car along with the Cobalt SS/SC, SRT-4 and RSX-S and it came in dead last, not to mention the car dynoed at 186 whp and 118 whp without the bottle. Pathetic!!!
