Looking around

for those of you who dont know my 06 ls sc got totaled Monday and Im looking around for another cobalt.I just want to know how much I should spend.I know the ss/sc models go for around 6-10k anything above is lame the TC go for around the 15k area.I was looking more into a 2.4 so I can just drop the sc kit into it.Whats a good estimate to spend on one of these?

Supercharged 2.4L's are no joke, a guy in our local club has a stage 2 S/C'd G5GT, that car goes like stink I love it!

yes 2.4 is the way to go especially since you already have the sc kit will make tons more power than a stock ss/sc does and since you have the sc already alot cheaper

My buddy has a 2.4 with the stage 2 zzp sc kit, stage 3 heat exchanger, badmab header ,3 inch catted dp,3 inch exhaust and he just dynoed with the timing messed up and he put down 276 hp to the wheels so just imagine if his timing wasn't out of wack also he has the zzp cams, neutral balance shafts, and 78lbs valve springs

with the 2.4 and your sc kit you'll be able to keep up with the stock lnf guys if not beat them

a tuned LNF with a DP makes 300ish crank IFAIK, but if you properly mod a 2.4 as said above you'll easily smoke most LSJ's and while you probably wont be beating LNF's (again probably) the instant torque from a supercharger will give you a great jump

Im kinda new here but I've always loved the cobalt ss. Haven't quite decided on the model I want though. Both will be highly modified. Harrop tvs supercharger, full exhaust, cold air intake, ported heads, and a zex nitrous system with a supercharged cobalt or a 09 ss sedan with a 259 extended tip turbo full bolt on exhaust, ported heads, and a nitrous system. Please help me make my decision.
