Finally starting to mod!

So a friend of mine said he's going to help me out since I really have no idea what I'm doing lol, but I do want a few simple breather mods.

I was curious if there was a certain piece that I should start with or if it doesn't really matter? intake, header, exhaust?

Edit: 2008 Cobalt SPORT. Automatic, haven't touched a thing under the hood yet. I have a friend who basically said you get the parts and I'll get them installed. So I decided intake first. I was looking at ZZPs site but like I said, no idea what's going on hahaha. any suggestions?

I would just do kit stages then like gmpp or zzp..
Start with a intake then exhaust and headers and a smaller pully and a tune if you want some real performance! Make sure you watch your temps... that supercharger throws some heat into that thing! I would recommend getting the aero force gauge from zzp that reads all that stuff.. and make sure you dont go to small on the pully to were you need bigger injectors! and then you will prolly be ready for a dual pass plate and a intercooler! I love the s/c they are soo soo soo much cheaper to build the a t/c.
stage 3 zzp s/c kit=900.
stage 3 zzp t/c kit=4000(my way)

ahh yeah I should have mentioned I have a 2008 Cobalt SPORT. It's automatic. Also, no boost. I just want a couple mods here and there honestly, just to get that nice deep grumble.

I've just starting modding mine and I'll tell you I bought the gmpp intake and couldnt be happier. Makes the engine sound insane, start there.

no it seals against the hood (the gmpp one) so you only get cold outside air. K&N intake or injen is cheaper though
