looking for hydro shield

ya so Im looking for a hydro shield that will fit an aem filter. i remember there was a thread about a group buy but i couldnt find it. thx.

Just go to www.gravanatuning.com. I ordered the injen hydro shield, and put it on my aem filter. Fits very well.

do these things really work? can they with stand you maybe going through a deep puddle that you think is a small one?

I dont think the hydro shield would protect you on a submerge, you would need a bypass valve for that.

Well I've been through one hell of a storm last week. There were some preaty deep puddles out there, but not once did I suck up any water. Personaly it has to do with the fact that the intake is in the wheel well. Lets put it this ways its as safe as an oil filter when it comes to water repulsion. I know from experiance.

I think the AEM website said the bypass valve is not for use on forced induction vehicles.

Yeah but that system is design to work incase you submerge your car in water. If their is water on the filter though. Some droplets will still get sucked through. But it won't be enough to cause any problems.
