Looking for my first SS/SC

Hey everyone, I am in the market for a ss/sc. I have found a 2006 with a G85 package local and since test driven it. 118k miles. Only things I have found wrong were the boost gauge was frozen at 2psi at all times, and it did not have a key fob. I can buy it for 7300 is around kbb in my area.

The car is in good shape, no rust, original paint, and bone stock!

What I am here in search for is what typically goes wrong with these cars with high miles? I know the basics but anything SS/SC specific to look for? And is 7300 a good price for a stock SS/SC with G85 package?

much of the suspension could be shot and the imc. pump is probly out. the vac lines are probly all cracked. nothing major. the price seems a tad high for the mileage ask for a better deal

The suspension felt solid and tight. I did not inspect any vacuum lines yet. Are SS/SC's getting that cheap or is it just because of the high miles?

the lines just go bad over time its not a big deal.

not too much coming off the top of.my head its a car like anything else just check all the bases you can. either way 7300 is too high for a ss with that many miles go for 6,5k

Hi Nickflanders

Once you purchase the vehicle I would be happy to send you the build sheet and look up the VIN for you. Just send me a private message here on the forum and I can do that for you!

This. Very overpriced. There will be things that need fixing on that car, unless they have all the maintenance records and the history to prove it.
