Looking for some help choosing a clutch..
As the title states- I am looking for a little help choosing a clutch. Im not all that far from stock.. I have GM stg 2(smaller pulley), GMPP exhaust, CAI ( i have a few more mods but those are really the only engines one at the moment). I dont plan on going too much further with the car. Maybe a small shot and some cooling mods.
Im undecided between the new GM clutch, or the SPEC stage 2+. Im leaning towards the SPEC, but would just like to hear a few opinions from a few knowledgeable guys here.
Thanks for any help!
Edit: BTW I have searched thru many many many threads, but couldnt come up with a definite answers.

well im running a TVS setup with 338hp with minimal stock clutch slippage. Recently switched to the spec stage 2+. Seems to be doing well for me. Really depends on if it is needed or not. You might not even need the + kit maybe only stage 2.
Actually went back and did some checking, I was right. You dont need the 2+ kit, the stage 1 is rated to sustain 335tq. If your not planning on going much further than what you have already then stage 1 will work for you. It really depends on if you wanna spend the money for stage 2 or higher.

1Quick07SS: At first I was thinking just the SPEC stage 2, but then figured for such a small increase in price for the stage 2+ I might as well get that if im gonna go with SPEC.
Chevycobaltss3: Ive really been thinking about the GM one, but I dont know if I want to limit myself.. Just in case I get the urge to add some more power down the road.
Thanks a lot for the reply guys!

Thanks a lot for your help guys! I ended up ordering the SPEC stage 2+. I live in Canada so I couldnt really take advantage of some of the great prices some of the american vendors have on the SPEC clutches, so I ordered it locally. It cost me $835 Canadian.

Yea, I checked out OTTP. The cheapest I was able to find from an american vendor was from thmotorsports. But after the exchange rate, shipping, and the 2 taxes I would have to pay it would have still cost a **** hair over $800 canadian. I figure why go thru all the hassle to save $30, and potentially even pay more then buying it locally. Brokerage fees can be a bitch here.

He sent in the order yesterday, and said it takes them 2 days to make the clutch. He said I should have it here within 7-10 days. We only have 2 local SPEC dealers so I didnt really have much to choose from.
One of the options I was playing with was ordering it from the states, and having the clutch sent to a very good friend that moved to Orlando. Then just get him to sent it to me as a 'used gift'. I didnt know if it would even work, so I just said **** it.
