Looking to trade.
Looking to trade.
Gentlemen...
I have an 07 plain Jane Cobalt LS that I'm planning to trade in the next couple days for an 07 SS Supercharged. Car looks really clean on the outside, and I'll be test driving it tonight. I know cool story bro.
It has 68k Miles, which is more than I originally wanted but with the trade in (I'm rightside up ALOT) its a hell of a deal that I almost can't pass up, and I don't want the high payments of a new car.
So anyway what should I look out for that is SS Specific? Anything wear out faster? What about in terms of the LSJ and the supercharger itself? The engine is stock, no intake, stage kit, or anything. It does have an aftermarket exhaust though. Obviously I will give it a good test drive and look everything over. I'm not a complete noob when it comes to cars. Just never owned or know anyone that owns a SC cobalt.
Thanks in advance.

The SC itself is built like a brick. They don't really go bad if they're stock. Only if it has a too small of a pully, and a **** tune. Same with the motor, for the most part.
I have 62xxx miles, and no motor issues. Just stupid stuff like the sunroof switch is effed up. Like all other Cobalts with a sunroof.

Seriously though, it starts with the small stuff. Want to install a radio, it will cost you $125 just for a harness. Lower an SC and the axles will bind and you will get vibrations, upgrade the charger cooling system and the pump will go out. Change the oil?? Sure just pull the supercharger off first to get to the oil filter.....anyone else??
