Lost brakes, ABS module is leaking like crazy

So the other day I was driving around like normal and out of nowhere my brake pedal went to the floor, I still had some brakes but not much.

I stopped and checked the fluid and it was low, I went to the store and got some fluid. On the way there the brake light came on. I filled it up and went home and had the same issue all the way home, brakes were there but you have to slam it to the floor. So I checked the fluid again and it was low again. So there must be a leak.

I checked the car out today and when I pump the brakes I see fluid draining out of the ABS module, it seems to be coming out of the threads that the hardlines go into the ones that are labeled RR,RF etc.

Do I simply tighten the nuts that go into the module? Do they need teflon tape or some sort of sealant? Do I need a completely new ABS module? I tried searching but couldn't find anyone with a similar issue.

Try tightening it first although I wouldn't see why it would come loose. I don't know how Teflon tape holds up to brake fluid.

You cant use any seal tape on those fittings. should attempt to tighten first. the line flare is what
seals against the abs module.

Sounds like a plan guys, I'll report back once I tighten these up. I hope it stops the massive leak but if it doesn't stop the leak is the only option to replace the module?

If it still leaks out of the fitting then you need to inspect the flare on the line and the seat on the
abs module. most likely the line will need to be replaced, it may have started to corrode or has a crack. personally I haven't seen the seat in a abs module cause a leak but who knows.

looks like the intake rubbed a hole in the brake line itself

I didn't notice how close that was, could def have a pinhole if its touching the line. need to get someone in the car holding the brake while you watch for the leak.

This was a common problem with 07 models and aftermarket intakes
