The lowest in *C ours goes, is -30*C (-80*F), before it just shows "---", even though it was -38*C (-36*F) before the windchill.
I was in a newer diesel GMC Sierra though, and the DIC (mirror) read -52*C (-61.6*F). No windchill on that day. We were lucky.

Other than that, the highest i've seen is 38*C (100.4*F)

what about some of the Canadians...I'm sure you have the cold weather record
Up here in Canada I've never seen the temperature on the DIC go above zero celsius, even in the summer. The lowest I've seen it indicate is -74 celsius when I was building my igloo up in the north pole when me and Santa were chillin'. Here is a pic of my Cobalt before I went to work this morning.

In the 4 1/2 months I've owned my SC highest temp I've seen was 115 and the lowest was 25 (just recently). At times, (since it's been cold as witch's tit) all that has been displayed was "ice possible."

Low temps so far

On Friday Jan 16th, morning at 7 am I saw -16 C. It is the coldest todate since I have owned the car. I installed the GM block heater shortly after I had bought the car, thus the engine temp reported +2 C which means that the frt window defrost a little sooner. I found that the defroster starts to work on the windshield only after the temp read 30 C and above. Have anybody else noticed this as well?
