LS to SS conversion
I have an LS and I want to convert it to an SS every way possible and more. Are there any ideas/mods/tips? Are there kits or should I buy each individual SS part and install?so far I have deleted the intake silencer, PlastiDip the exterior and interior, and put in a cold air intake. I ordered the OEM SS badges for around the car SS-wise. Give me opinions or tips, critique the car as is etc

First time I've ever actually said this.... Sell it and buy an ss. You're going to spend more money doing that then you would buying an lsj. And take that plasti dip off your tail lights please -_- don't put ss badges on a 2.2. It's not an ss and it never will be.

I agree with chevy, just buy smoked tails from ebay even tho for safety i wouldnt run smoked lights but thats me. And the plasti dip in the front by the headlights doesnt look good imo. And yeah money wise you will spend more and the time you have to put in. But if you want a project it would be a nice one

But to help you out, yes you would need front/rear bumper, side skirts. Probably change the tan interior (or whatever color that is) to black. If your looking for performance i would probably visit zzperformance and get a turbo or supercharger kit from them and your personal touches after that

If you want a SS buy one. If you want your car to be faster and look better, tastefully mod it. no matter what bumpers and badges you put on it it will never be a real SS.
Now... make it look good, clean up that black mess in the front, clean up that red mess in the interior, get some go fast parts, put some nice looking wheels and swap suspension.

It's good to see people actually giving legit advise instead of being trolls and flaming him. This site used to be bad at that. I guess all the ****** have ventured over to the bullshit cobalt pages. Lol

lol, but in all seriousness:
- Clean up or lose the dip on the front of the car
- Make BOTH bowties the SAME colour
- Fill the holes on the front bumper
Start with some engine mods, or even a swap if its in your budget. Maybe look for a good deal on coils or springs/shocks. Exhaust will add a bit of power, and a lot of sound, which is good enough for some people.
Its not the skirt kit, useless wing, or "SS" badges that make the LSJ/LNF's what they are... It's everything else you CAN'T see.
Our cars are like a house renovated by Mike Holmes, all the good stuff is underneath, lol.

It's only a poser if he puts ss badges on it. There are 2.2s that come stock with the ss bumpers and the 17in wheels. A ss body kit doesn't make you a poser. It means you have good enough taste to ditch the ugly base model bumpers. Lol.
