May be dumb question but.. is this normal?

hey everyone hows it going? well i was just wondering if something about my car was normal or not. when im driving and i get on the gas really hard the RPM's just way up and then they drop way back down again. like lets say i was cruzing at 4000 RPMs and i punch it they just to damn near red line then some back down.... let me know if this is normal or whatever it is thanks in advance

...are you talking about it coming back down when you shift, or let off the gas


or does it do its while still under acceleration??

ummm... sounds like your wheels are spinning.. lol then they catch.

and if that's the case.. yea its normal.. just learn how to launch better, and your transmission and tires will thank you.

While im still on the gas i havent shifted yet or anything ill be driving and ill get on it the rpms get really high and then come back down again in the same gear and im still on the gas hard they just jump and come back down
