Melting hubcaps?

Buddy of mine told me that if i do high speed slow down and am hard on the brakes that i COULD melt the caps...thoughts?

would imagine they have a good enough melting point?

and im tuned so no speed limiter FYI

it has happened to me lapping on a race track tight short course with lots of braking. unlikely on the street but possible. depends on how stoopid with braking you are on the street but it would take a lot of effort and the cops would be on you before the plastic melted. my. 02

if i track the car they would come off...i should just take the damn things off anyway...lol

just wondering if anyone experienced this
