As I get more familiar with this site, I continue to be amazed by the radical aftermarket modifications made to these cars............and they're all pretty new!!
Given the FWD architecture, I have a hard time keeping the thing in a straight line under hard acceleration as it is? First gear already turns the pricy Pirrellis into GOO.
How are you guys able to put all the extra power to the ground?........and if you can, how do you get rid of the cars front end "hunting" all over hells' half acre in 2nd and 3rd roll-ons? It's F'ing scary somtimes. I'd give my left ******** to have this car driven by the rear wheels; the powertrain deserves it.
I love my car (don't get me wrong), but my old Mazda Miata would run circles around my SC on a twisty road despite the power difference. The Miata architechture could handle 300bhp without a problem, my Cobalt struggles with what it has?

I guess I got the RWD blues.

Also, look into getting engine and tranny mounts. What's the use of all the ponies under the hood if you can't put them on the ground?

I appreciate the info.........but whatya mean crappy P-Zero Rossos? They're OEM for the Ferrari 360/460?. Ferrari (I suspect) has pretty picky clients!
As for traction bars though, I'm not framiliar with how these are installed on a FWD car?
The stock anti-sway bar/bars are sufficient for my needs as I don't find the body roll to be excessive while cornering. -It's the "puppy looking for a place to ****" feeling when I apply agressive but linear throttle to the chassis in a straight line. It's disconcerting..............the only way I can describe it is driving in the prarries and catching some heavy wind broadside (the steering wheel hasn't moved but the car has).

Any info on traction bars?

Ah yes .......the stiffy. I was looking at that earlier and combing the posts about it.

It does sound like it helps with a number of issues. Do you have one ?

Actually, P-Zerro Rossos @ 215/18/45 are direct OEM replacements for the front tires of both Ferrari's I've mentioned above. They were initially developed for these cars specifically. The compound however, is identicle regardless of size (the rears being larger obviously) on the Prancing Horse Automobileee. That's why they're so expensive to replace. Apart from our Cobalts', Ferrari and Volvo are the only marks that use this width/aspect ratio/combination in an OEM application (on one model-the Vulva S5) .
So you know.

Jeepers, I'm tempted.

Use the rear trans-axle from the vette, and a carbon-fibre torque tube.

I wish it was that easy!!!!
