Muffler Too Large?

Well I gotta killer deal through Scott at CPP so, in an effort to tone down my exhaust loudness, I ordered a Magnaflow XL, which arrived today

Needless to say, this muffler is HUGE. I got underneath my car with hit, and it looked as if it would fit, but the guys at my local generic muffler shop wouldnt install it. Pics:

So I just ordered another magnaflow off of ebay, I think I'm just gonna stick the muffler I just won where the resonator would normally be, and run it in conjunction with the pacesetter.

Now I just need to figure out what to do with the giant ass muffler

Yeah, that is pretty huge!

Can you cut a section out and patch it back up in the middle?

I'm not gonna worry about it because I got another muffler on order anyway

Hope it sounds good with two mufflers lol

have them put it where the stock resonator would go , int he middle of the exhaust system. tell your exhaust shop they are pussies... i think it will make it sound a lot better. with your header/no cat, if you quiet it down a lot it will sound so aggressive, and a quiet aggressive sound is way better than loud insane aggressive.

That muffler is 7" in dimaeter, and on a lowered car, It would drag the ground constantly, I have about 2.5" of clearance on my current exhaust pipe
