my plans
my plans
Ok so I'm planning to start modding my 06 sc i think i got a good setup here are my modds so far
injen cai
shorty header
2.5 dp
2.5 exhaust
this my setup in planning on doing
zzp 3in cai
2.9 pulley
42# injectors
zzp stg 3 h/e
duel pass endplate
option b
custom tune
aluminum rad (maybe)
I know I can run a smaller pulley but I rather not this will be my DD and the reason for the aluminum rad is because I live in Texas where the temp outside are either 90s or 100s most of the year sometimes they are below 80 only during winter or fall and only for a couple months out the year so please chime in if there's anything wrong or would be better remember I'm not going smaller then a 2.9 thanks

Good move for a daily driver. I wish I had stayed where you are planing to go. Once you start going beyond you need to back all your mods with the appropriat upgrades.
Especially having the cooling mods.
From my experience only
1. Really good item to have is an Aeroforce Interceptor so you can see what is happening to your engine.
2. If you do your downpipe get the extra bung for tuning becuase then you can actually get it tuned properly.
3. Maybe grab an extra cooling pump while you are at it. This is SO important to have if you are having any issues with your IAT2 temps. This is the cuase of MANY cooling issues.
4. Once you start modding you may find out your clutch needs replacment. GMPP if you need it.
5 Possibly some transmission mounts to avoid wheel hop on quick takeoffs.
PM me if you want I am no expert but I can tell you some things I wasted money on. The above are some of the things i learned.
And if you are reading lots of articles...read more
Just TONS of god info on here.

Yea I'm planning to get those things as well but right now I'm just buying all the parts and as soon as I get everything im going to install them all at once ok I have a question allot of people are saying to stay with the stock flywheel or going with the exedy I think that's it is the reason why

I didn't mess ith the flywheel I didn't see much point.
My first clutch I went with stock...not a good choice. The GMPP will give you lots of hold and feel/drive like stock.

I'm still on the stock clutch (56k miles), and sitting at 300 or so whp, and the clutch grabs just fine. If you know how to finesse the stocker when getting on the throttle, you will have no issue for quite some time.
OP, if your car has rather low miles (less than 100k), leave the clutch alone for now, and work on other things.
