Due to the many suggestions of trying two seperate meets this summer lets see what everyone thinks would be a good idea. If we go for two seperate meets we can vote on new locations for the east.

 

I would like to see a east and west

 

I voted for East/West, I think well get more of a crowd this way.

 

Thats what I think to, Just have a central meet on the east and west

north east, south east, and west.

 

yah but were going for big attendance so everyone can meet everyone. As long as we do it with far enough notice it should give everyone time to plan. It would be nice to have some big attendance numbers and lots of vendors.

 

everyone can goto nopi in atlanta in september for the east meet.

 

if i go i guarantee ill be the youngest there.. ill prolly have 2 get a GPS lol

 

maby a west, midwest and east meet bc tail of the dragon is like half a day or so from me and i wouldn't be able to go to a far east or west don't have the time to drive that far + i know i would get lost bc i get lost in st louis as is let alone out of state

 

Yah thats why we can do convoys and what not, so everyone can get lost together The way it looks everyone likes the east/west idea and Tail of the dragon is somewhat centralized for the East but we can have another Eastern voting poll. What im worried about is someone steeping up to help get the West meet going.

 

I still vote for national but have a centralized location in the middle so then the people on the west don't have to drive all the way across the states to meet.

There was this exact same problem every year when they were trying to debate a location for J-Body Bash. The first year we went it was in Ohio, we drove the 10 hours to get there and there were people who drove from the far west side of Canada down to Ohio for the meet. Then the next year they wanted to switch it to St Louis so it was more centralized and the people on the east complained because they would have to drive more than 4 hours. We had it in St Louis, and guess what? All of the people who were complaining showed up. Then the next year it was back in Ohio, and we drove the 10 hours again. If you really want to go the meet, you'll drive. I think it will be a hellish meet. I know that we would for sure come if it was in St Louis or Chicago (depending on the date of course) and we may even come to the Indiana one, depending on the date. But I'm not going to drive to NC again this year...we were just there (that side of TN) back in October....I don't really care to drive that far again this year. But whatever ends up being.....

 

Yah I think the best way to go about it is just let everyone vote. Thats why we have three polls going now and there will be many more to come if people keep interest. Id like to keep this setup as a for the people by the people thing if you get my drift. So I think the best way that everyone can somewhat agree on is Majority wins. I cant think of any better way to do it. O and did I mention I have never done anything like this before, so me and whoever else is helping to get this thing rolling are just kind of wingin it at the moment

I voted east and west, but I wanted national, but everyone wants to go to the east or west coast so it seems that would be best. Though all everyone is speaking of are the coasts, and no one says anything about the central meets.

Personally, just keep things like they are, have meets in the regions that are around you, or anywhere specifically you want to go or whatever.....

The national idea was good...until places that weren't central were brought up.

 

Yah but it still would be nice to get folks from say NY,NJ,VA,PA,IN,IL,KY,FL,CT, and anywhere else all together id say it would be an easy 200 people if everyone commited. And North Carolina/Tennessee border where the Tail of the dragon is is pretty central for the East. Now west is a different story.

Personally, I think things are going to split up from there as well. It will end up being north east, and south east....then a northwest, and southwest. Because everyone will wnat different locations, as always.

And, exactly, where is the west going to go/do? I don't think this is going well personally, it no longer seems plausible, it will just be like a normal everyday meet by section.
