Too each his own. We understand not everyone will be able or willing to come. Keep in mind we have folks from Los Angelas, New Hampshire and Miami coming. Some folks have committed to a 1600 miles drive to come to this event.

We will be organizing smaller rendevous points in major cities all over the U.S. for convoys. Such as Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, St louis, Etc.

I am with you. IL was even pushing it for the GMSCB. I say we host a National meet here in PA If all else fails and it is just us, then we will still have 20+ Cobalts.

uh yeah colorado. good luck with that one. you cant have a national meet all the way on one coast. you can have an eastern and western then try to work you way up to centralized loaction.

wait summer 07 nevermind i'll be in Iraq again you have fun trying to get this to work out.

Philly isn't too bad a drive. I think I did the drive in 3.5 hours when I went to SEMA. I would do it again for a huge meet.

Out here west of the Mississippi 3+ hour drives are nothing. Trust me I'm from just outside of Harrisburg. People back home always bitch about a measly 30-45 minute drive. People here in Rapid go the what...7-8 hour drive to Denver for a weekend vacation a few times a year. I've already driven home this summer and last summer. 1500 miles...once in the Jeep once in the Cobalt. I'd def be up for this next year depending on what the date(s) are. I'll be deployed to Guam from Jan-Apr/Mayish.

I used to be stationed there as well. If you wanted anything to do, or even just go to walmart it is at least a 30 minute drive and that is at 70 mph the entire time. And Denver to Rapid, my best time is about 5 hours. (I'll be up there labor day weekend in fact.)

We really hope as many people can come out here to Denver as possible. I would love to see everyone. Actually put faces to names and avatars. LOL

Ummm... I'm going to have to agree with most everyone else on this one. You can't have a national meet in Colorado. How about a more central location? Nevermind, that would make sense.

Honestly wherever the location for this meet there's gonna be people complaining about it. Put it closer to the west more people from the east will complain. move it more east people from the west will complain. Put it someplace in the exact middle of the country and people form extreme western and eastern us will bitch. They're not gonna be able to please everybody so quit your bitchin. Damn people I'm sorry but this is why events get cancelled. Don't ruin it for those of us that want to go by starting a negative attitude towards the event.

And I'm making the drive to Aurora next month sometime. My aunt just got stationed at Buckely AFB(?)

Good point. St Louis was considered. But we were thinkingthe west coast people would have some trouble. They have to to deal with the rockies.
