I wish i would have kept my GSX-R 600, it was light and had decent power but NY winters suck and i didn't get enough use out of it . If i lived in Florida i would have to say buy the bike and keep the car for future modding. The only thing i did to my bike was a pipe, front sprocket and a jet kit so really you don't have to go crazy spending money on the bike after it's bought ( except insurance lol)

If you get a bike and it is your first I would highly suggest taking a saftey class and starting on something small even if it doenst "look cool". I have thought about getting a bike about 10 times over the winter, I have saved up enough for a good downpayment on the bike I want 2 or 3 times now, but I continue to put money into the car becasue I know if I get a bike I have a chance of getting hurt like I did before, and living in chicago with a bike sucks during the winter months but you dont have to worry about that.

If you get a bike ride safe! Good luck with what ever decision you make.
obv i was planning on going through all the saftey courses and getting my endorsement before i walked into the dealership and bought one. but i cant really afford to buy a small bike and then get sick of it and sell it for a bigger one. i would rather get a mid-sized one and take it easy until i get more confident on it.
