Thumbs up new 06 owner

hey guys....

got back from a dealership today.....

and im happy to say im picking up an 06 cobalt ls on monday.....couldnt afford the SS

im really happy with it and im so excited to get it


its a black, 5 speed......just wanted to share...ill take some pics when i get it....

yea...trust me i wanted it but it was just way out of my price range.....

just a question....what can u do to these cars before you void the warranty....i mean im sure engine stuff is out but what about wheels...i hate those damn hub caps

Nothin' wrong with non-SS's!

As far as wheels, shouldn't be a problem changing them. I have the 15" alloys myself and I plan on going to 16's.

im pickin it up tonight....just one question tho....

the car only has 20 miles on it...i put 10 of them on....how long is the engine break in period...if i remember its 1000 miles right?

You can do anything you want. As long as the part you installed isnt causing the problem at hand then there should be no problem whatsoever with you modding your car.

Put it this way. When I owned my LS1 Trans Am the car always set off all the car alarms as they pulled it into the shop at the dealership (no cats, bullet muffler). Hell my service advisor keep asking when I was going to put a cam in it because he thought that would be cool. I never once had a problem with getting warranty work done and that car was in there a ton because of electrical problems. I even drove around a 4 cylinder LS1 for a few days because the PCM was jacked and only the left side of the engine was firing.

i read somewhere it was 500 miles, various speeds try not to go above 70.

congrats on the new ride. i bought mine a month ago and actually put the new tags on it friday. '06 cobalt SS and it is bright yellow. couldn't find a s/c anywhere so had to get this one but i love it. handles great and is pretty quick too. love the site keep it up.....
