New Car and Driver

Hey if you all get the chance go to the car and driver website and check out the story "Superfour Challenge," i find it funny that some of these cars are not all that quick considering how much money is put into them. What do you guys think?

I read through that waiting for my girlfriend at the optical center in a Shopko.

What a joke, For the amount they spent on any of them they were pathetic.

The AWD were the biggest laugh but low ET with low mph is prety typical of AWD. Thats why they are so fun to kill from a roll.

Read that while waiting to go to class yesterday . . . The thing you need to understand is getting faster gets exponentially harder; i.e. it takes a whole lot less to go from a 17 second quarter mile to a 14 second quarter mile than it does to go from a 14 to a 12. There's a lot of stuff weighing on that.

My gripe is, where is GM's representation? There wasn't one Cobalt or Redline in the entire group. Why, I don't know. But it's bothersome. There was a Skittle, a boatload of Civics, and 2 Elise's, but not a single car representing the LSJ. With all the potential of this engine & platform, it's sad. Perhaps next year's superfour challenge will have one.

Simple...all those cars were sent to them from tuners...I'd bet while the cobalt has a few but there aren't enough mods available to make a compro worth it.

lol they're probably still pissed at me for ruining the "cheap speed" poll and decided they wouldn't do cobalt stories anymore
