Looks interesting I don't think that CAI is for the SS/SC though. The Engine compartment looks different.

Hmmm a GMPP intake... looks interesting. If it isn't ridiculously overpriced I'll think about purchasing it. I was going to custom fab my own intake, but if I can get this one with a warranty maybe I'll just do that then.

Short Ram Intake= SRI, if you look at the picture of the intake the filter sits within the engine bay therefore its a short ram.

where as the CAI relocates the intake filter outside the engine bay, generally behind the passenger side bumper/wheelwell

the box is closed off to engine temps when shutting the hood, that would be a cold air intake like airaid and volant.

the filter can sit anywhere, as long as outside air is the main source that would be a cold air.

every last one of those parts was on the secret gm page on the actual gm.com site. They are just pulling the information for that list. The real list isn't viewable and all efforts to get to the page so far have turned up nothing in return. Here is the page

If you look, that picture is a 2.4.

The engine in the intake picture is a 2.2, if you click on it it says 2.2 ECOtec

Performance air intake attached to the 2.2L ECOTEC engine in Cobalt.

looks nice, but also looks small compared to the other intakes out there

yeah i agree with you on that . the average aftermarket is around $200, so think a lot more for a GM part. i wonder if GM with insist that the dealership will have to put it on to keep warrenty on it

I hope GM makes one for the 2.0 SC That would rock. i would be forced to get the stage 2gm with gm exhaust and gm intake.. All under warranty. I would cry happy tears of joy and sad tears of broke at the same time!
