it would be cool to see your car with the LSJ! turbo would prob be a waste of time because there is now engine support for that 1.6l car or how ever small the engine is. and if you get to boost happy that motor will blow

all your car really needs is a 17 inch rims to set it off

cant see pics I'm at work.

um I hate to break it to you but I dont think your aveo is gonna be fast as hell you might make it pretty quick since it had a curb weight of 2,323lbs before your bodykit.

and again you're not gonna turbo this car for $4k it's not gonna happen you might want to take the advise from somone that's been around a while. supporting mods alone will be around that much unless you think the aveo comes with some sort of beefed up drivtrian to support it's wopping 111 ftlbs of tourque
I would comment on the block needing to be sleaved and pistons being replaced but honestly I cant find anything that says what the block is made of for all I know you're running on a motor made out of cheese. since I have to guess though I'll say the whole block is alluminium which if you do a little reading isn't the greatest thing in the world for forced induction.

So... what kind of numbers is this 7psi turbo setup gonna be throwing down?

What's the curb weight on the Aveo?

And as far as the dual exhaust goes... if you've got two exhaust holes... they better both work... whether it makes performance sense or not.

Welcome to the site Spectral. You're project sounds fun. Reminds me of back in the day, a friend of mine did a engine swap on an old Chevy Sprint and then turbo'd it. Don't remember what engine, but I do remember him surprising many cars on the highway. One time in particular, we were cruising along when a 5.0L LX Mustang was laughing and taunting at us with his buddy, the Mustang pegged it to 'leave us in the dust', but was stunned to see the little Sprint scoot by him in is all powerful V8. The look on that guys face was classic.

Good luck with your project whatever you decide!

depending on the turbo set up....or if i swap the engine....i get get anywhere from 150whp to 210whp.

And with the weight of my car. And the addition of other pieces and more engine work.
I can make the car compete.......thats my point

good luck competing cause your gonna get killed by almost every stock car even after your mods. so the only point you will be making is that you can waste 7000 on a turbo and other upgrades and still get your ass kicked by most stockers. hahahhha

By the way intense_SS if you didnt know the stock 1/4 mile time for an aveo is 17.45 at 78mph....0-60 is 10.26.

Just some info on what the 103hp can do. Well see how much of an improvment turbo ram air intake headers exhasut engine work....and all that such will do.

i am saying that when all your mods are done you are still gonna have a hard time beating 4 cylinders, most that are stock 4 bangers. so i am saying buy a different car and then mod it like an ss/sc or a srt4, this way when you are done modding them you are running low 12's or less if you got the money. you should trade in your aveo and use the 7 grand it will cost 4 a turbo and all supporting most to buy a better car
