New trim panels for passanger side!!!

Went to pick up the new trim panel for the passanger side today since they called from the dealer and said it was in. When I got there they told me that GM sent a notice out to the dealers that they had to redesign them and they were told the problem still exsists so............to all who got a new panel....it's just the same as your old one..............call your dealer and have them order a new one.

I just got mine re-upholstered at the dealer rather than having them order a whole new one because I assumed the same problem would be seen on almost all the panels that came in. So far it's holding up well, the handle still has a little bit of play but much less than before...here's hoping it holds .

GM is aware of this problem, but they do not have a fix for it yet. I just looked under Bulletins, doc ID#1693269. So any door panels replaced or on order now will not fix it. Besides, I do not feel the problem is the panel rather the bezel for the handle. The passangers side is too small. Compare it with the edge thickness of the drivers side.

I think it also has to do with how far it extends past the whole in the material...like I said mine still has a bit of play and the majority of it is due to the front half and not where the handle is...I was more concerned with the vinyl bubbling and ripping than I was with the handle being loose, ppl shouldn't have to close the door that hard anyways it just leads to rattles . As long as it stays how it is now I'm happy with it, just gonna see how it holds up over the next few months and hope it doesn't pull out again.

The dealer told me when GM solves the problem and sends another panel they will call. Probably a couple two tree weeks.
