Is this normal? (just got my car back)
i got my car back finally! and ill admit, it looks alot better than the other day i looked at it. has a couple scratches ive never seen before but thats the least of my worries right now.
im kinda worried about how the hood and the bumper batch up. i know cobalts have always been plagued with bumpers that dont line up with the headlights and stuff there are some small gaps, but i dont remember the hood not lining up this badly with the bumper...

the hood is completely closed too

that looks excessive. i had big gaps between the hood and front bumper (before and after front bumper replacement) but never had the hood stick out that far in front of the leading edge of the bumper. how does the hood match the curvature of the fender? is it a possibility that something is still shifted somewhere and they bolted it together farther forward to try to match the fenders better? i know my right side of the hood has never exactly matched the fender, esp on the left side.
That's definitely not right, it should be almost flush. I ran out and looked at mine and there's a tiny lil gap but nothing like yours. I'd take it back IMO.
On another note, I'm not happy with my bumper/headlight positioning either. My passenger-side headlight has like a 1/2" gap between it and the bumper. You can see the housing when you stand off to one side of the car.. I hate it. I've argued with Chevy and they said they can't adjust it anymore, I think that's BS though.

That is an oxymoron my friend. No car is perfect from the factory. They all have little flaws here and there. I've driven many of my customers to local dealerships so they can compare my work to factory and they are usually surprised at what they see. ON another note, the gap from your hood to your bumper is off the mark. The bumper not aligning well with your headlamps is normal.
Hey people, I'm not the type to do this, but please stop talking about things you don't know for sure.
Go out to your car right now and look at the exact thing he has pictured. You will find it is normal. Stop bandwagoning and making this poor guy feel like something is wrong.
You can adjust the height difference on the left and right using the screw style bumpers on each side.

the gap isnt even on both sides. it sticks out a little further on the drivers side.
is this easy to adjust urself? or should i just make them re do it...after all i shouldnt have to just accept it if its wrong.
could someone else maybe post a pic so i could compare?

Like its been said, should be able to turn in the black plastic screw deal and it will lower the hood. Also, there should be 4 bolts (2 on each side) that hold the hood in its place, you can loosten them up and readjust it too.
