Octane

When I bought my 07 SS/SC I was told by the dealer to use 91+ Gas, thats a given when your supercharged, But what about octane? Can I add it to 91+? and does it really do anything for me performance wise. If so what a good kind to use?

if you have the 2.0 use 93...if you have the 2.4 use 91.

read about from the 24th post down about octane and you will see why you ss/sc should use 93 and not really use 87

If you're asking about octane booster, I'd say no.

Good reading here, towards the bottom of the page:

When I bought my SS S/C the salesman told me never to put premium in my car cuz it would destroy my engine and it would not be covered by warranty. My father who use to be a GM mechanic and I laughed the whole way home.
