hhmmm

adding
(89U) Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat exterior color (extra cost)
and removing
(29U) Sport Red Tintcoat exterior color

I wonder if there will be much difference in how it looks.

I'm 99% sure side curtain airbags are required by law in Ontario for new cars at the moment, so I'm not sure how that works...
Black granite metallic sounds like a wicked colour. I'm jealous that mine's just gonna be regular old no-cool-name black

If you read it more carefully...

It's under Deletions

and it says (ASD) Head curtain side-impact air bags "delete"

Maybe there was an option to remove it? Now you cannot?

Interesting info...

Woot for me! Going to be a rare Rally Yellow SS/TC Sedan

Not many people that purchase a Sedan want a 5spd is the main issues w/ the setup I'm sure. Was very hard to find one locally...

(47E) Ebony/Red Premium Cloth with UltraLux inserts interior

Were these two options for the SS/TC cause I have never seen or heard of them?

Yes

Ebony/Gray was on the only option for interior on the SS/TC Sedans. I've seen a few coupes with it.

That's more than likely exactly what it is. On the fleet cars you could order a base Cobalt without OnStar and without the side curtain airbags. Otherwise they are standard on all other Cobalts. They've probably dropped that option to delete them in order to simplify production and save costs of having to make a tiny amount of cars that didn't come with them.

This coupe-only SS for MY'10 makes me think that either they sold very little sedans or they plan to keep the Cobalt coupe around at least until the end of the model year while they may end up phasing out the Cobalt sedan if they offer the Cruze a little earlier than initially expected. The biggest disappointment for me is to see the standard sunroof on the SS. That extra weight way up high in the car may reduce the appeal of the SS to those looking to competitively race it.

Also skimming through, they were listed as an option for '09 but I haven't seen them, but looks like a dealer-installed sport pedals is available along with special floor mats. Also to note on the SS models, they've removed the standard tire sealant/inflator kit and put a spare tire back in the car as standard.

Why would they make sunroofs standard? Especially when they aren't known for superior quality in these cars. Some guys probably want the weight savings.

I love the Black Granite color, but no sedan makes me glad I bought the '09 when I did.

They probably made the moonroof standard because a lot of the SS/TC's were ordered with the moonroof. I actually ordered mine with the moonroof because I wanted one just for extra daylight in the cabin. I drove a Mazdaspeed3 and with the black interior, it felt like I was driving in a cave! I did not like it one bit.

I was never a big fan of the Cobalt sedan. It looked too much like a mini G6 sedan or a Pontiac G5 sedan with the tail lights. Both the G6 Coupe and Cobalt Coupe look sleeker and more agile (just IMHO).

I knew they were going to make the spare tire standard. I ordered mine w/ SGC or just the inflator kit. I had a flat tire in my Crown Vic the other week and I found out that it was due to a small puncture. An inflator kit would have gotten me running without any problems. I did have a FULL SIZED spare tire, but it was low on pressure. The best way to go is obviously both a full-sized spare and an inflator kit. The next best thing is probably just the inflator kit. The donut takes up space and is really useless.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunroof

GM markets the CF5 on the Cobalt SS/TC as a sunroof, but it is also a moonroof. To each his/her own.

The donut just takes up space and weighs a lot. A situation where a replacement wheel/tire comes in handy is a catastrophic blowout. Even then a donut is only a very temporary solution.

An inflator kit should be able to fix most punctures and get you running without damaging the wheel. I'm not sure if there is a good all-around solution without lugging around an actual full-sized spare. I have the room to do so in the Crown Vic: the spare is a W-rated ultra high performance all-season tire, while my regular tires are H-rated all-seasons!

The inflation kit must come in handy when you have a flat front tire on the SS. A spare tire wont fit over the brembo's so you have to take a back tire off , put the donut on... then move the good tire up front.
