Oil Detection Gauge?

I just had my oil changed with about 4800 km's on the car and i noticed that the oil detection gauge is still where it left off. 60%. Anyone else run into this problem? I unplugged the battery but still it won't change. Oil is perfect so i don't get it... Never trusted that gauge anyway. any input appreciated.

it has to be reset, check in your owner's manual, it will tell you how.

Use the arrow button to cycle through to the oil life system, then hold down the I button until it resets to 100%.

The gauge works fine, in fact a lot of car manufacturers are using oil life meters now. I think Honda's putting them in their cars too. :p

Actually, mine didn't work to well. It said i had 25% oil life left, but i changed it anyways. Well, needless to say, my oil was BLACK. I was like, damn. So now i check my oil every 500 miles or so.

Wow you're changing oil at 60 percent. I let mine get down to 2 or three. Then again I'm cheap and try and save my money. BTW no problems with the power or engine on my car works good.

But I go by my owners Manual and They suggest listening to the car. STOP CHANGING YOUR OIL SO MUCH YOU'RE ONLY CONTRIBUTING TO HIGHER GAS PRICES (I'm joking here)

Yeah same here. I'd love to use the oil life system, unfortunately I can't. I've been hardwired to do the 3k change. hehehe

I no longer worry about doing it every 3 months though. I just go by the mileage.
