Oil pan question

Are oil pans between 2.4 and 2.2 ecotecs interchangeable or would there be an issue in using one. looking at them it looked like they were the same.

reason i ask is because im turboing and if theyre the same i can get the one on the 2.2 welded with my return line fitting instead of removing my own and having my car down.

I no longer have the GM parts database...call a dealer and ask them to look up the part number for the 03 Ecotec 2.2 oil pan and the part number for an 05/6/7 2.2 oil pan...if it lists the same number then it will be interchangeable.

ya i had a friend do that. but wut the guy also said was that the difference was that the 03 uses sealant wheras ours uses gasket.. i think im just gonna bite the bullet and pay the extra to get my pan dropped and done.
