GM says Onstar will be in every vehicle they sell from now on... not sure when that goes into effect but thats a reminder for people who didnt want the on-star side curtain combo you are being left out.... or you got lucky

 

Onstar takes about 3 seconds to disable.

 

You have to break into it to disable it which would tell them that someone broke into it and then disabled it and with how many cobalt ss's will be out they have a god shot at getting caught... but i didnt post that to argue about onstar i was just being informative

 

I wasn't trying to be argumentative. Sorry I was just stating that for people that really didn't want Onstar and having strangers being able to track them whenever. But that's just me.

 

Yeah I'm not very keen on the idea of payin someone to unlock my car when im too dumb to take the keys with me... but If I have to get it with the side curtains I will becuase those do make sense...

You don't. You can get side curtain air bags without having to get onstar.

You can't get onstar without the side curtain air bags however.

Good. I'm getting side curtain airbags - onstar. I don't want it or need it. I have a cellphone and spare keys .

 

Yeah but your cell phone is not going to call someone when you are unable to. The accident/airbag detection, I think, is well worth the extra cash.
