Orders Are Being Accepted For Production!!!

For everyone who placed an order for an SS supercharged call your dealers and see if your orders are going to stage 3000, accepted for production. Most orders sit at stage 1100 until gm is ready to start building them, and my order just went to 3000 last night!!!!!! They are coming soon guys!!!

Yeah, I didn't know the technical term, but my salesman told me mine had been accepted for production about 2 weeks ago now! I can't wait!

Just got off the phone my dealer. He still says my car is on hold. Only red and black are cleared to order.

I'm just repeating what the told me. It does not suprise me, I ordered in Oct from a small dealer outside of St. louis because they gave me the best deal. They are probably low on the priority list if there is such a thing. My car will probably be one of the last preorders built.

Yeah I was just letting you know to give you hope. Cause some blue LS coupes have been delievered, and my blue SS is approved for production. I bet yours is further along then GM is telling your dealer, or then he is telling you.

I hope not. If thats the case I'm in the same boat then. I knew I should have ordered from Wiers in Red Bud instead of going out to Nashville, IL to save a few bucks.

Good news and bad

My SS was accepted into production today, but the G85 performance package cannot be added to the order. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so is there any way to modify the order (maybe a phone call to someone at GM?)

Don't get me wrong I'm happy about the production part, but I ordered back in October for the XM and sunroof, and now I can't get the performance package. That's BS.

Just spoke with my dealer again. He has a call to the GM regional rep. regarding the performance package. It sounds like, for those of us that pre-ordered, many of our orders were accepted into production yesterday. Seems more than coincidence that this was the day before the performance package was made available for ordering.

Talked to my dealer today also, my car is going to get the G85 package. The revised order went thru today and confermed with central ordering. My origional order was placed on Oct. 29, 2004. My order did not get pulled yesterday, it was not on the sheet printed on last night at my dealers office. I'm good Looks like I'm getting it. One thing my dealer said to me if the order was pulled before I got the order revised was...... "I'll call the regional rep and he will revise the order at the factory, IF the car has not started down the line yet" So do this and for you that had their order pulled uyesterday you sill might get the G85 package.

Thanks Archplsm. I'll have my dealer call. At least they are finally getting built. Did your dealer give you a build date? Mine checked, but no build date yet, so that should mean that the order can be changed.

I talked to my dealer and my order was pulled 2/16/2005. I am having them fax me some printout of the status.

*UPDATE*

Ok I got the status. I am in Event code 3000. I have a Arrival Blue SS S/C so I don't think color has anything to do with it. Here is my order history.

Event Code Desc Effective Date
3000 Accept by Prod Control 2/16
2500 Preferenced 2/16
2000 Accepted by GM 2/16
1101 Preliminary Order Added 9/11
1100 Preliminary Order Accepted 9/11

I also have an order number and but *NO* VIN and *NO* build/ship/delivery dates.

My dealer told me no production on mondays, and orders are pulled at the factory on Wensdays. I figure mine will be pulled next week since I'm close to the factory. Typically they will not give you a build date untill the order is pulled, even then they give you a weeks leaway. I know I seen several postings stating a build date supplied by the regional rep. I believe these dates supplied by the rep are estimate dates for production. They can not trully tell you when the order is going to be pulled, but they can look at how many orders are there and how many they are doing a week then project a date.

Are you buying the car from them? Why yes you are. You have a right to know what the status is of the car that going to buy from them, isnt?

bad news

i dont know if this is true or not, but my sales rep called gm for me, and there are problems. supposedly, the only ss s/c that are being made, are all for show. each state gets one car that travels that state, but they actually wont be sold until august or so. i guess there have been problems, so im sorry if this is true. i relly wnat my ss, but i might start looking around for another car. any ideas of what i should start looking for. i thiught maybe a turbo MINI s?
