Passenger Side Leak...Try This Quick Fix...
Passenger Side Leak...Try This Quick Fix...
Did you find water on your passenger side carpet? First try this fix before you take it in to your local rip of mechanic who will lie and tell you that it is some kind of A/C leak and charge you 500 dollars.
Now ...if it does not work...I can't help you.....but 9 times out of ten this is going to be our problem and it worked for me today...
As your A/C runs it builds up condensation however if your A/C drain plug is clogged the water is going to find its way onto your girlfriends brand new shoes and she is then going to think your a big douche with a shiz car....
Leak found probably around your blower on the passenger side....or around it...

First find the A/C drain plug:
Open your hood, from up top you will not be able to do what you need to do....but you can see the drain plug, barely ... with a flash light.
Look at the second spark plug from the passenger side, follow the path line to the fire wall and then follow down the fire wall ..sticking out of the fire wall is the A/C drain plug.

Okay now drive your car onto ramps or whatever way you can to get underneath...without killing yourself....Slide from the front under until you see your "down pipe" ( That I know you have changed out lol) and where it connects. On the passenger side above it (on the fire wall) is the A/C drain plug and its easy to get to from under the car.

Now get some pressurized air...and blow it into the drain plug ....

If this was your problem it will clear the clogged drain pipe and a ton of water will pour out...

Your done....no more leak...
Now you know what to do if it leaks again......

Rather than pressurized air, which will blow water back into your blower motor and all over your evap housing, just take a piece of wire, coat hanger, etc and work it up there. You will also get soaked if it's clogged but that's the method I use to free them up on customers cars.
As a side note, if your drain is plugged your cabin filter also probably looks like poo, less air flow doesn't move enough water through the system to flush out the drain and contributes. Change the filter every year or two depending on a/c use and personal preference.
